The Prevent Duty


The Prevent Duty a piece of legislation called The Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015 has introduced something called ‘The Prevent Duty’. This means we all have to work together to stop people being drawn into terrorism.


‘Terrorism’ is an action that endangers or causes serious violence damage or disruption. It is intended to influence government or to intimidate the public and is made with the intention of advancing a cause, political or religious for example.
