Ian Allen - Chief Executive

Ian’s passion for helping people to make the most of themselves has benefitted countless careers and is the foundation of the organisation we are today. Understanding the importance of running an efficient and happy working environment, he has helped Succeed to evolve at an extraordinary rate. Not only working to ensure that everyone has access to the best industry-relevant training, Ian offers side-line lectures in vital subjects such as good food appreciation and the entire history of AC/DC. He is also Chairman of Cure Leukaemia; a local charity dedicated to helping blood cancer patients and their families, and is always looking for ways for Succeed to get involved in helping this fantastic cause.

We’re dedicated to providing opportunities for all, and the varied range of training, qualifications and development programmes we deliver means that everyone can gain from working with Succeed. Whether you’re looking for your first job, seeking to progress within your career or interested in offering development opportunities for staff, we can help.

Meet the management

Mahmudur Jaigirdar - Director

Better known as Jag, Mahmudur joined Succeed after almost 20 years of working in training establishments throughout the Midlands. Dedicated to encouraging people from all backgrounds and of varying abilities to achieve their potential, his primary aim is to help everyone to secure a happier, more successful life for themselves. With his slightly odd sense of humour and friendly, approachable manner, Jag’s great at bringing people together. Whether that means finding the very best tutors, assessors and teaching assistants to form our brilliant team or working to reach excluded or disadvantaged communities, it’s one of the reasons why Succeed is able to help so many people in so many ways.

Bev Duthie - Head of Recruitment

Bev joined Succeed to help bring employers and potential employees together, working with our key national accounts to provide assistance with the recruitment process and ensure that our employer clients are well looked after. Her many years of experience working with Job Centre Plus and major national companies has given her a great understanding of what employers look for in candidates. This  helps her to match each client with the best person for the job. Bev is a keen gardener and loves to spend her spare time either gardening or her other passion DIY

Andrew Mackenzie - Head of Administration

With an impressive list of business and administration qualifications and many years of experience in training and government organisations, Succeed’s Head of Administration really knows his stuff. The rapid growth of Succeed has resulted in the need for a large administrative department, and Andy has been very involved in developing his team and overseeing the smooth running of the office. Despite the disappearance of his head banger hair, he’s a true rocker at heart, loves his ‘proper man food’ and lives by the motto that ‘tough times never last, but tough people do’.

Jeff Dass - Head of Operations

With 9 years in the training industry, extensive knowledge and experience in the managerial and quality sector, Jeff comes equipped with core foundation and in depth understanding of project/practice  management, client management and quality assurance. Jeff has the ability to prioritise time and plan procedures with a keen eye for time management along with a proven record in executing project work to ensure timely completions. His favorite pastime being his love for cooking and creating new dishes as well as eating them. Jeff enjoys spending time with his family organising trips and social events.

Avtar Jagdev - Head of Quality

After ten years of teaching, assessing and verifying for various training providers, Avtar bought his considerable experience to Succeed, joining our quality team to ensure that standards remain exceptionally high across the organisation. Having received recognition in the past for his work in developing accredited training for young people, his specific experience in work based training helps to make sure that our programmes are as relevant and useful as possible. Avtar is also renowned for his sense of humour, and the Succeed services to comedy medal was created in his honour, and subsequently presented to him, in 2012.
